Hello everyone! The first thing I would like to share with you is some information on how to get your medications for free! If you have a medication that you need to take on a regular basis, you would call the company that makes the medication, (like Pfizer) and ask them to send you an application for their "Patient Assistance Program". You fill it out and send it back to them with your income tax forms and a one year prescription from your doctor. If you are income eligible and you do not have any prescription cards from your insurance you will be eligible for a one year supply, for free. You will get a three month supply, four times a year in the mail directly to your home! Wonderful! Isn't it? |

For those that have no health insurance......the second thing I would like to share with you is this: "All" hospitals have a program (Hilbertan Fund) that has funds put in it specifically for indigent people that can not pay their bills. With this fund if you are income eligible, you also qualify for "free or discounted" services depending on your income. You would need to ask for the form when you go. In some towns you can also qualify to use this service not only for your hospital visit but for doctor's visits too! If you qualify for the financial assistance through the hospital and there are doctor's that are affiliated with them and also have their own office, you qualify for them too! ...That is the greatest thing I have found yet! |
